Malissa's Journal

Tim's Travel Blog

It's been a really busy summer and we ended it with a two-week road trip through the center of the United States.  Alex had spent most of the summer at his grandparents house in Laporte Indiana, so I drove up in the RV to pick him up and do a little sightseeing on the way back.  Unfortunately, Malissa couldn't get away for two weeks, but she flew to Nashville before the trip was over and joined us for the last few days.  That's what happens when you own your own business.

We traveled through Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee.  During the trip, we visited Kings Island in Cincinnati, the Air Force Museum in Dayton, Mammoth Caves, the Dinosaur Museum in Cave City Ky, and the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas.

It was a great trip, but I was really ready to get home when it was over (maybe a day or two before that).

I tried to get Alex to keep a journal so I could post it, but getting him to write is like pulling teeth.  Malissa said she'd keep a journal of all of our phone calls, so I'm going to include that too.

Don't forget to check out all the sections related to this trip:
