Day 4.  La Porte Indiana to Medway Ohio

I got to meet Alex's friends today.  What a motley crew they were.  Got some pictures then we packed up the Winnebago again for our trip to Ohio.  Alex really had a lot of stuff and I had a hard time finding room for everything.  Ended up having to move a lot of stuff around to fit his stuff in.  His electric scooter was the hardest thing.  I had taken it in the camper before, but couldn't for the life of me remember how I'd gotten it under the seat of the table.  Finally got it though and we were ready to leave.  Alex had to run over to say good bye to his friends three times, then we were really ready to go.
I followed my in-laws part of the way along my route and we all stopped together for lunch, then we got moving again about 1:30.  That really scared me at first, because I had wanted to get moving by noon, but then I learned we had crossed into the eastern time zone so we really weren't behind schedule.  The trip went really smooth for the first hour or so until we hit Kokomo.  Traveling south on US-31, you go right through Kokomo and there are a lot of lights.  We hit every one of them red.  It seemed like it took an hour to get through there.  Finally got moving again and it went well until we got to Indianapolis.  When we got on the bypass, it was almost at a dead stop.  I forgot it was Friday and by now it was about 4:30.  I'm sure it could have been a lot worse, and it really didn't take that long to get to I-70 and head to Dayton.  We didn't get in until 7:00, which was considerably later than our planned 5:30 arrival, but we were there and met my parents at Steak-n-Shake for a bite to eat, then headed to there house.
